About FoldNook
Stay Low, Live Soft.
FoldNook started with a small apartment, a big dream, and a problem every mover knows too well—traditional sofas are heavy, hard to fit through doors, and even harder to keep when life changes. Our founders believed there had to be a softer way to live: a couch that respects space as much as it respects comfort. After months of experiments with materials science and ergonomic geometry, the first boneless couch was born—low to the ground, deeply relaxing, and compact enough to move and store with ease.
What We Make
We design floor-level seating that decompresses into generous comfort and compacts for transport with minimal waste. Every curve is intentional: softly supportive forms that invite you to lounge, read, game, or simply breathe. The result is furniture that adapts to modern life—studio apartments, growing families, shared homes, and creative spaces.
How We Build
From fabric hand-feel to foam resilience, our materials are tested for durability, recovery, and long-term comfort. We collaborate closely with skilled manufacturing partners and maintain rigorous quality checks throughout sampling and production. Many products are made-to-order, which helps us reduce overproduction and focus on what truly matters—quality, not inventory.
Sustainability & Responsibility
Space-efficient packaging and compression reduce shipping volume. We favor durable textiles, thoughtful construction, and repair-friendly design choices. Our goal is simple: furniture that lasts longer, travels lighter, and leaves a smaller footprint.
Giving Back: FoldNook for Good
Comfort should not be a privilege. FoldNook is committed to community impact through ongoing initiatives:
- 1% for Room: We allocate one percent of revenue to improve living spaces for families and individuals transitioning into stable housing.
- Nook for Community: For every milestone in sales, we donate boneless couches to community centers, youth spaces, and shelters selected each quarter.
- Second Life Program: Returned or lightly refurbished products are directed to partner nonprofits rather than discarded.
- Sit Together Days: Our team dedicates volunteer time to set up community lounges—welcoming, low-to-the-ground spaces for connection and rest.
We review these programs annually and share impact notes to keep ourselves accountable and continually improve.
What’s Next
We’re exploring even more resilient fabrics, modular floor pieces, and circular systems for repair and reuse. As we grow, our promise remains unchanged: create soft, grounding spaces that bring people together—at home and in the community.
FoldNook is a simple idea with a big heart: make room for what matters. Stay low, live soft.
